Bon anniversaire Le Prof Wenger

Hello ZedTears, Bon anniversaire Le Prof Wenger

I believe one of the best things about managing people is that we can influence lives in a positive way. That’s basically what a manager is about. When I can do that, I am very happy. _Arsene Wenger

I want to cease this opportunity to wish Arsene Wenger a happy birthday. You have been one of the greatest managers the English Premier League has ever seen. You helped change it’s history and arguably the way modern football is perceived and played. You are one of the greatest Arsenal manager of all time, and many will agree that you are the greatest. You made history going an entire season with a team that was unbeaten thus garnering worldwide recognition and tagged The Invincibles.

I have been a huge admirer of your works, your ethos, and how you exude class. Your quotes are gold especially for me being a sucker for one. How about this for a start…

“A football team is like a beautiful woman. When you do not tell her, she forgets she is beautiful.”

Your sense of humour is epic. There is no denying that the English media miss all that you brought to the table, your constant battle zipping your elongated and oversized coat at most match days thus giving the viewers a bucket full of laughter, montages of gold footage, your press conferences, your banter with other rival managers but above all your incredible intelligence of the ‘beautiful game’ and life itself.

Thank you for inspiring this sketch

Believe

Verse 35. Believe

Believe

Believe..

“If you don’t believe in your work who else is going to believe in it?” _Milton Glaser.

Inspirational words from a graphic design icon and one of my favourite designers of all time; designer of the iconic ‘INY’ logo.

The saying applies to whatever work you do be it a designer, an illustrator, an artist, a blogger, musician, photographer, painter, writer, doctor, psychologist, nurse, etc.

If I didn’t believe that my posts could inspire myself and at least one person out there, I wouldn’t be posting at all.

Meanwhile, thank you for finding this post inspiring.

Believe in your work, simples!

Musa.

As a football fan, it is great to see Nigeria kick off their World Cup campaign with a 2 nil win against Iceland. Iceland were resilient, but two scintillating goals from Ahmed Musa ensured that Nigeria (with the must adored and stylistic jersey designed by Nike) bounced back from a 2 nil defeat to Croatia in their initial outing.

It was a great game for football lovers as two nations delivered a brilliant performance. Commiseration to Iceland.

Looking forward to more fantastic matches from all the nations in the competition.

Best of luck to all the nations!

Confidence

Verse 3. Confidence

CONFIDENCE 5.2

CONFIDENCE 1

Confidence is a term we are all familiar with. It plays a huge role in almost everything we do regardless of our positions. The quote design above may not be everyone’s taste, nonetheless, it requires a certain amount of confidence to juxtaposition the texts in order to communicate an idea. The design is a visual metaphor in communicating the process of building and losing confidence. It takes an enormous amount to build confidence or belief in whatever we do as it is psychological, except you are naturally blessed with self belief.

Confidence is key particularly to sports people as they require a full dose to perform to their maximum levels or attain great heights. Take football for instance, players perform brilliantly when boost with confidence but you see a shadow of these players bereft of it.

Arsene Wenger is arguably the most successful manager in the history of Arsenal Football Club. It is also fact that he changed the English game when he took charge of AFC. He has won many trophies in his 21 years as the Arsenal boss, however, he is under vast pressure as his very talented players have lost form because they are lacking in confidence. Constantly barraged with questions over their weekly performances, Wenger in his recent interview was probed about this issue (confidence) which he responded simply; “its like going up the stairs and coming down the lift” meaning that gaining confidence is a huge task although losing it was much easier.

Arsene Wenger remains under pressure from fans and the media. He is still holding out for his team to regain form. Hopefully, the reverse would be the case where they gain confidence by way of going up the lift rather than stairs.
