I want to thank you profoundly for the 100 plus followers. You have been amazing and super supportive ever since I started my website just over a year ago. I started my website with the intention to upload some of my works as advised by my mates. Then I stumbled upon a community of incredibly talented individuals on the platform whom have helped strengthened my quest for learning and discovery. My writing and design have improved significantly also as a result.
I post contents inspired by my love for words and quotes. I use a degree of expressive typography to show these words in an exciting, fun and engaging context. Like words, typography is powerful. Typography bring words to life and expresses words in the way it should be communicated and presented.
I hope to carry on delivering content that informs, inspires and at the same time excites you.
I created this series of works with the notion that our capacity to learn, generate idea(s) and discovering old or new things is infinite. Think about it, we are constantly learning and finding things foreign to us or discovering things unknown or unaware of, etc.
We share our old or new found knowledge by teaching it or disseminating it as information. In these events, new ideas are formed or generated, and if put in good use, amazing things are created.
This process repeats itself, on and on it goes like a loop thus the visual metaphor which I have created using pieces of strings and a scanner.
We will never stop learning, discovering or generating ideas, sharing, teaching, etc., and the process repeats itself like an infinite loop.
I came across this great quote from a friend. I am delighted to be sharing this powerful quote on this occasion as this marks my one hundredth post since starting on this platform. I hope the image I created above serves as a visual metaphor to denote the great quote.
It’s been an honour to have met so many incredible individuals on this platform, sharing powerful and insightful contents. I hope to continue on this journey of growth, learning and discovery from this great platform.
This is to you that is optimistic, ambitious, passionate, a believer, an achiever, a goal-setter, a dreamer, a go-getter, a pacesetter, …I salute!
Keep looking on the bright side regardless of what obstacles you come across in your pursuit to excellence.
“You should bring something into the world that wasn’t in the world before. It doesn’t matter what that is. It doesn’t matter if it’s a table or a film or gardening—everyone should create. You should do something, then sit back and say ‘I did that.'” _Ricky Gervais
Dear ZedTears, Not Just a Pretty Face #2 By Tambu Geeray
There he stood, looking at her
In ways she’s never been looked at
There was a lot to say
To give peace to her troubled soul
But the words wouldn’t come out
He feared the outcome of his eventual outpouring may spell doom
“Hold your tongue man,” he said to himself.
Still he held her so tight and gently placed his lips
On her left ear
Like he had found that perfect diction
Again, the words failed to come to fruition.
In his frustration, he reluctantly took another deep look in her eyes
As dark clouds gathered therein
In a whisper, slowly he said her name
Then hesitantly walked away
Doing all he could to stifle the tears from trickling down
Denying her the luxury of his weakness.
She didn’t want him to leave
But made no effort at holding him back
She had felt his heartbeat the whole time in that bitter-sweet embrace
Wishing he said something, anything
Even a true lie wouldn’t hurt now
But suffice beautifully
The spasmodic rhythm on his chest was too much to bear
There was more to this than mere words
Of that she was sure
She knew him so well to understand that right there
That heartbeat was that of a bird
Like Big bird in sesame street
In dire need to flap her wings and touch the sky.
With sad eyes she let him leave
She watched him close the door
And with parted lips, she knew he loved her
But something was missing.
