The Butterfly and my moment of confession.

The Butterfly and my moment of confession.

The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has enough time.pngThe butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough. _ Rabindranath Tagore

I have had this quote in my archive for a while now. Not so long ago, I posted it on my Instagram account. A mate once texted me to say that the quotes that I upload either on my Instagram or here made him think, most especially the one above.

I have a confession to make. I have struggled to make proper meaning of the quote myself for as long as I had come across it. I thought I’d sound stupid telling him that I have contemplated numerous times in order to make perfect sense of it too. As a matter of fact, unlike the butterfly, time isn’t enough for me to keep wallowing in my thoughts. I decided to see what ‘Mr Google’ had to say about it. I gladly found that someone had written a piece on the quote.

My apologies because I will not attempt to deconstruct it so as not to misinterpret its meaning. But if you are curious to know and want to learn new things like I try to do, please check Reverberations with the post “The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has enough time”, it is brilliant and insightful.

I guess this has been an account of my moment of confession (of not knowing everything), learning and discovery, I hope to have other moments that will be worth your time if you can spare a little.

Thank you very much for stopping by and please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts on the quote and how it impacts you.
