An optimist at heart

An optimist at heart

Philip Abang. “Wherever my story takes me, however dark and difficult the theme, there is always some hope and redemption, not because readers like happy endings, but because I am an optimist at heart. I know the sun will rise in the morning, that there is a light at the end of every tunnel.” _Michael Morpurgo

  1. Hope & optimism have been two words that have been coming up for me in the past 24 hours! I love your play on the ‘ope’…a reminder to be ‘open’ to hope. I would like a heart in the ‘O’ also because hope lives there. Keep me posted on your quotes project, I am curious! Le grà, Marie X

    1. Thank you so much Marie! I like your observation and interpretation of my collage. Your suggestion is great. I will be posting your quote soon. I find quotes powerful so I collect them and write them in my journal, some of which I share on my blog. From a personal perspective, quotes serve as an itinerary for life’s journey. Your words were extraordinary, I look forward to posting it soon.

      1. Philip, we are similar in that I’ve also collected quotes in journals and even whole paragraphs or sections of books that spoke to me. I’m glad you like my interpretation of your work. Have a meaningful weekend!
